TBG sponsors and coordinates the Global Library of Wisdom (GLoW). UTL administers, builds and promotes the Global Library of Wisdom (GLoW).

Why emphasize the Global Library of Wisdom?

  • Conventional physical churches focus on what? Worship
  • Virtual churches focus on what? Worship
  • The Universal Father's new paradigm for the Fifth Epochal church focuses on what? Wisdom

Cooperative and coordinated work on the Global Library of Wisdom as a central wisdom tool for unifying the planet is one method by which TBG and UTL can carry out their goals. Unity at any level requires a common need that applies to everyone. Wisdom is something everyone needs, from the newly married couple, to global leaders, and every level in between.

Why focus on wisdom instead of worship?

Because wisdom is a higher mind adjutant than worship. It is a higher spirit value. It is the highest of the 7 mind adjutants. Focusing on wisdom does not negate or lower worship in any way. In fact it enhances worship, by uplifting it directly through the higher value of wisdom, thereby creating a wiser form of worship. The current approach of church worship through singing, music, doctrine, and fellowship is not wrong, but without that higher component of wisdom that comes through actual service to man, it falls short of making full contact with the Eternal and Infinite Creator, the Universal Father.

Lowest mind adjutant
    1. Spirit of Intuition.
    2. Spirit of Understanding.
    3. Spirit of Courage.
    4. Spirit of Knowledge.
    5. Spirit of Counsel.
    6. Spirit of Worship. Establishes encircuitment in the Holy Spirit of the Universe Creative Spirit.
    7. Spirit of Wisdom. Establishes the personal connection with the Universal Father (Thought Adjuster).
Highest mind adjutant

While the first 6 mind adjutants must be accomplished, they do not establish the connection between man and the Universal Father. The 6th adjutant (worship) only makes the connection to the Local Universe Mother Spirit, Nebadonia (refer to UB 103:0.1).

It is only when the 7th adjutant (wisdom) is accomplished that the higher connection with God the Father is made, and it signals the awaiting Thought Adjuster to come, the very fragment of God the Father Himself coming to join man in that most intimate one-on-one relationship.

UB 108:2.1. The first moral choice of the human child is automatically indicated in the seventh mind-adjutant and registers instantly, by way of the local universe Creative Spirit, over the universal mind-gravity circuit of the Conjoint Actor in the presence of the Master Spirit of superuniverse jurisdiction, who forthwith dispatches this intelligence to Divinington. Adjusters reach their human subjects on Urantia, on the average, just prior to the sixth birthday.

UB 133:6.5. The divine spirit arrives simultaneously with the first moral activity of the human mind, and that is the occasion of the birth of the soul.

While worship focuses on the Mother, the Fifth Epoch must now uplift the religion of mankind to the higher level of wisdom so it can find unity with the Will of the Father, through the revealed and superior religion of Jesus. This is why wisdom is central and essential to the Fifth Epoch. It is the critical and necessary step needed to propel a planet forward to begin the process of achieving Light and Life!

A brief explanation of Wisdom

In one way wisdom is the sense of bringing all that you know, and all that you understand, and all that you appreciate, all you had the courage to do, and share with each other — bringing all this to bear on the present moment. You might say wisdom is the instantaneous integration of all the other mind adjutants.

The Urantia Book teaches us that wisdom is something you gain only by living experience. A hallmark of wisdom is a sense of proportion — in all that you think, and do, and understand. This is the relationship between things, and people, so critical to understanding our society and our politics. In all our personal associations, this sense of proportion is a hallmark of living wisdom.

It’s like the difference between a pure knowledge you may have read somewhere (book learning), and does respond within you — does ring an intellectual bell. But then to experience it yourself and have it for your own soul is another matter, that’s elevating knowledge to the level of wisdom. Wisdom provides real soul growth. Knowledge and worship do not grow your soul, not unless they lead to the service of your fellow man which eventuates into wisdom. It is the transformation of knowledge and worship into service to your brothers and sisters that eventuates into wisdom which grows your soul, and propels you forward into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Machiventa's request to build a Global Library of Wisdom

Urantia's Planetary Prince, Machiventa Melchizedek presented the people of Urantia with the concept of a Global Library of Wisdom. Some of the transmissions from Machiventa referring to this are listed below.

From New Era Conversations #43 – Peace; Intention; 3 Core Values – Mar. 30, 2015
Machiventa Melchizedek, Planetary Manager

Wisdom gathering about successes and failures.
It is paramount in these projects that somewhere along the line that your historians stop writing about the history of failures and successes, but also become historians of wisdom—human sustainable wisdom—not just in archives that are hidden away, but actual, operational libraries that are online for gathering wisdom about the various aspects of human living and human societies, and human conduct, and human commerce.  Wisdom gathering has been done by many people, some of you have read in Nancy J. Turner’s two book set “Ancient Pathways: Ancestral Knowledge,” that the indigenous people of North America in the Northwest have a history of many, many centuries of wisdom gathering concerning the use of herbs and plants for their daily use in thousands of different ways. They have done wisdom gathering to enhance their survival and their sustainability, and have been successful, at least until the invasion of the Anglo-Saxon Europeans who came to this continent in the 17th Century. Now, those wisdoms are being lost to the detriment of the sustainability of those indigenous cultures. Yet, your world, your civilization of Urantia is a culture unto itself that must begin gathering wisdom about its stability and sustainability, and particularly it must become a learning civilization, a learning organization to learn how to adapt to changing conditions.

From New Era Conversations #50 – Destabilizing World; Trust; Government – July 6, 2015  Machiventa Melchizedek, Planetary Manager

There is no library of wisdom for guidance.
These nations have no formulated policy on how to resolve these great problems. This points to the imminent fact of elements that contribute to the instability of your world, if not the anticipation of the future. Your nations and societies and institutions were never formed with an underlying intention to become sustainable, so when these events develop they are new and they are difficult.  What is worse (or as bad) that makes it difficult is that there is no library of wisdom of what works and what does not work, to assist political and economic and social decision-makers how to proceed in difficult situations. This will be seen in the future as a “no brainer,” that there must be a base of wisdom of what works and what does not work to guide the decisions that effect so many people. There are, in fact, a number of problems in your contemporary societies and their operation that will be seen in the future as silly—not to have thought about that, and to not plan for a future with the variables.

From New Era Conversations #51 – Democracy and Its Evolution – July 20, 2015
Machiventa Melchizedek, Planetary Manager

A library of wisdom is essential.
We have mentioned in the past that there has never been a library of wisdom to guide decision-making, whether as a father or mother, family, community, state or a nation. There are actions that support continuity and sustainability, and actions that do not. There are actions that in fact, are detrimental to the sustainability of a family or nation.  We estimate that eventually someone, sometime, somewhere will begin to develop such a library of humanity’s sustaining wisdom, and that they will be funded with knowledge and wisdom that comes from all the history of human societies and humankind, throughout all its history, and contemporarily, from all the millions of social research projects that have ever been completed, and that these will eventually be summarized into categories for social sustainability, social and societal sustainability, political and governmental sustainability, and financial and economic sustainability.  There are certain rules, certain proofs, certain truths in those three areas that are invariably linked, that when broken they will surely bring about eventual social decline and collapse.

From New Era Transition #04 – Evolution of Democracies – Oct. 3, 2016
Machiventa Melchizedek, Planetary Manager

Library of wisdom.
As we have said as well, we hope that eventually there would one day be a library of sustaining human wisdom, so that what works is retained, and what does not work is also set aside to show and demonstrate to the readers and patrons of this library what does not work.  We know that what does not work is often forgotten, similarly as the pangs of birth are forgotten by the mother in her great joy for her new child.  So too, must this reality remain with you, but not agonize you; it must in fact, give you hope that through the positive and constructive wisdom that is retained, you have confidence that you can make improvements on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and decade basis to improve your societies.  When hope is gone, then confidence becomes vacant; it is essential that you have confidence in the knowledge of what works from the past to begin the inception of new dimensions of inventiveness, socially, politically and economically.

The following document is being made available for the benefit of Jerry Burden and the Unity of The Light Church as part of ongoing consultations with the TBG Commission for the discovery and assessment of a potential coordination plan to realize Machiventa Melchizedek’s recommendation for the creation and support of a Library of Wisdom.

Project Q & A

April 2017

This project is being carried out under the aegis of the TBG Commission.

GloW is the TBG Commission’s acronym for Global Library of Wisdom.
Questions were formulated by the TBG Commission Team.
T/R for this Q & A session: Michel Levasseur.

Question 1 - Should GLoW be operated as a commercial business venture or as a registered non-profit organization, and in which country should GLoW be registered?

Machiventa: GLoW must be a non-profit enterprise. Its registration should be in North America and Canada would be a country that could accommodate GLoW because you already have Canadian members who are part of it and two of you are living there. The current tax laws in Canada for non-profit organizations are quite soft and flexible to allow GloW to operate without fiscal constraints.

Question 2 - We need help understanding what qualifies as wisdom suitable to be included into GLoW and what does not qualify. Can you offer us any insights and definitions of wisdom that we can apply to the data collection and filtering process that will feed wisdom into GLoW?

Machiventa: Wisdom is explained in different ways and there are a number of examples that are currently available to you. In your research, you will need to focus on what is sustainable as a societal process. Any process that could help society move toward Light and Life should be seen as a process of Wisdom.

There are also Wisdoms that are midway through my previous explanation and are actually steps that will lead to Global Wisdom and are desirable. You will need to include these "mid-wisdoms" in the GLoW by documenting them. As I mentioned earlier, GLoW will be a co-creation process * and you will be guided continually in your research and in your efforts.

* In 2024 a celestial team of wisdom experts were convened by Nebadon’s Father Melchizedek to participate in this co-creation process. Their mandate is to indite (compose) concise packets of wisdom specifically tailored for the needs of the Global Library of Wisdom. These wisdom packets are being transmitted on a regular basis through the ongoing Teaching Mission and are being delivered to TBG Commission for inclusion into GLoW. This celestial team of spirit collaborators operate under the moniker Amanson.

Question 3 - As a follow up to question 2, we understand the concept that wisdom is also knowledge but not all knowledge is necessarily wisdom, and there is a gray area between the two where our discernment is required. What we don't understand is how much flexibility we should allow in the discernment process when dealing with these gray areas? Should we err on the side of safety with a highly flexible discernment process which may occasionally include knowledge that is not wisdom into GLoW in order to ensure a 100% capture of wisdom, or should we use a rigid approach of trimming the fat even if that means occasionally leaving out material that is border line wisdom? To simplify the question, should we go with more or less?

Machiventa: As mentioned, you will need to go deeper into your research to document all the steps and processes that lead to true wisdom. The goal of GLoW is to create a metaphorical bookstore that will guide mankind in making the best decisions to help them achieve the best wisdom processes and the steps that are needed to achieve them.

These wisdoms should be documented including the various steps that are necessary to achieve the desired result. I would also like to reiterate that you will be guided in your research.

Question 4 - Should GLoW collect digitized copies of entire original documents and manuscripts (this applies to non-digital source material), or should only the wisdom contained in these documents and manuscripts be extracted and digitized for inclusion into GLoW? If the first then GLoW will need tremendous storage capacity. If the second then some context may be lost.

Machiventa: Here is an excellent question. In my opinion, it would be preferable to extract only the part of "wisdom" that could be contained in a document or a manuscript insofar as this extract could easily be collected without altering this "wisdom". However, on other occasions it may not be possible to do so because "wisdom" will require that the entire document or manuscript be collected in order to guarantee its authenticity. Finally, storage capacity is no longer a real problem today and it is easily conceivable that these current capacities are still much greater in the years to come.

Question 5 - Should GLoW collect anecdotal material as wisdom to be included into GloW?

Machiventa: Indeed, these data or anecdotal material should be contained in the GLoW to the extent that these data support the "wisdom" that must accompany it or at least help in its understanding. The real goal of the GLoW will be to document "wisdom" and to include all the necessary documentation to help its understanding.

Question 6 - Should the wisdom collected into GLoW be supported and proven by practical experience and successful real life application, or is it sufficient for this wisdom to stand on its own without additional support?

Machiventa: In fact, the two models will have to apply and it is certain that if GLoW can prove and document "wisdom" then it will be necessary to do so, but there are "wisdoms" which cannot rely on real experiences or practices and in this I can give as example some new or future areas of life. These wisdoms will not exist and will have to be documented in GLoW, and to do so, it will be necessary that this new wisdom be based on a work of co-creativity at the beginning * and then updated with real experiences that can be documented and proved.

* The wisdom packets currently being provided by the Amanson group are largely designed to help fill this particular need for new and future looking wisdom. In this context it is viewed as revealed wisdom.

For example, there will be new kinds of cooperation centers to be established but which have not been previously functionning. Since there will be no wisdom in this area then the only documentation that will be available will be the one you will be co-creating with Us.

It is possible that for some existing domains you will not find any wisdom in this domain, either because in this domain there will not be any, since there will never have been any success or no real documentation exists. In other cases, only partial documents will be available. In these cases, co-creation work will be undertaken and each of these areas will be case by case.

The ultimate aim of GLoW is to fully document each of the areas with the "wisdoms" and this library will be constantly changing as  wisdom evolves and allows the GLoW to deliver a real-time view of Global Wisdom.

Question 7 - The realization of such a project will require significant human and financial resources, and it is almost unthinkable at this stage to do so with existing human and financial resources. Have you planned to help us in this direction and if so how?

Machiventa: I like this question because it involves a range of resources that we had already planned. At this stage of project preparation, your needs are very minimal and you are in a position to proceed with the implementation of the structure of this project. When the time comes, you will be notified of the procedures to be followed and ensure that the desired end result is achieved.

Question 8 - Do these archives really exist in each of the sectors?

Machiventa: Yes and no, because there are archives in many sectors, but unfortunately there are many of them that have disappeared.

Question 9 - How to find these archives?

Machiventa: We told you that this work would be done in co-creativity and you should know that we will be with you to guide you to find these archives.

Question 10 - For lost archives and sectors that do not have an archive of success and wisdom, will we need to create documentation that will help guide humankind to act wisely and sustainably?

Machiventa: Effectively, you will also have to work to create the GLoW of documents that will compensate for the lack of archives or wisdom in certain sectors in order to help humanity in its success in the transition to the Light and Life era. This work will be done in co-creativity.

Question 11 -   Should we have a group of people able to Transmit and Receive (T/R)?

Machiventa: In planning, you will need to plan the organization of a committee with the task of bringing together a sufficient number of people who can communicate with us (Celestials).

Question 12 - There is a group of celestials who is assigned to this project, then how will the co-creation work between us and them be done?

Machiventa: There is indeed a group that has been trained and assigned to the GLoW project. This group will be able to help you directly with T/R communication. Each of the Celestials has a precise task to do and will communicate the messages to you in due time. What you need to understand is that your group needs to be able to count on a sufficient number of people who can communicate with us.
END

Some additional points to consider.

A Library of Wisdom is only good as long as it remains usable. Long lifespan is critical, and that presents two significant problems.

    1. Will there be software available in the future that can operate the Library?
    2. Will the contents (documents and data) of the Library remain viable for the long term?

The goal should be a 500 to 1000 yr. minimum lifespan of the contents, with the ability to remain usable by future software.

Currently there are few long term standards available for software, but the situation is slightly better for documents and data. It is imperative that proper archival standards be applied, but that will greatly reduce our options as only a few standards are available. Currently, PDF/A, also known as ISO standard 19005-1, 2 and 3, and the venerable ascii format are the two best options for the long term survival and usabililty of electronic documents and data. PDF/A for complete documents, and ascii for data.

PDF/A is designed with a 500+ year lifespan in mind and is a very complex standard.
Ascii is commonly accepted as having a 1000+ year lifespan due to its extreme simplicity.
Both are endorsed by the Library of Congress, and many of the world's leading archives.

Widely accepted standards and Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) are preferred, to ensure longevity of the Library, and freedom from commercial licensing restrictions and proprietary formats. It should also be noted that the current business models of many software vendors (frequent upgrades and vendor lock in) are antagonistic to the vision of durability endorsed by this project.
