Amanson on Education

'Education' is the way a growing soul is grown. Education makes the paths we tread adventurous as opposed to frightening; deliberate — that is 'with purpose' — and not merely in frantic hope of a happy ending. The point of education, and the truth of education, is to allow the fully fledged soul to become fully fledged, the soul that does not yet know itself to be awakened to the inherent power at its very core, its beginning that will blossom unto its ends.

The reason education has become so distressed and deteriorated is its value has escaped the minds of mortals; whether by sheer distraction or an imposed distraction is a question to be asked. But that is part of one's education, isn't it. To dig deep into such questions is a panacea for the sorry shape in which the lack of education has left society floundering.

Education is not the most important component of an earthly life — that is Love. But education then is a necessary fulfillment of Love's application. In other words, life as it is lived on your planet — with all that has gone before and all that lives within it — can be brought into focus by education and through Love. When love is the primary impetus in the undertaking of an education — be it love of humanity; love of the subjects being studied; or love of education itself and its ramifications — then the learning acquired through that education forms a basis, a structure, for the application and the assignment of Love, which is the desire to do good to others. Now, this desire can of course be carried out without the benefit of education but education coupled with this desire (Love) brings a broad palette, an extremely far-reaching gauge of what is needed and what might be useful in the future.

When practical knowledge is applied where hitherto mere ignorance and superstition reigned, then the basic laws of the universe, the laws of nature — which are the building blocks of a progressive planet — can be seen as the stepping stones they are, to be understood and harnessed, cooperated with, in the forward journey each individual is on. And these laws — whose perfection gives hints of a far  greater Perfection — are illuminated for those who would join the forward tendency, by education. The histories of all the arts, of philosophy, of science, of mathematics, design, of society itself are all the fodder of education. And mankind cannot know where it is going — where it is best TO BE going — without a knowledge of the stuff of which it is comprised: the wonders it has uncovered and will uncover, and conversely the toll its missteps have taken; missteps that, thanks to education, needn't be taken again. It is education that will tap the hidden genius that living on a planet in the far reaches of space can lay claim to. It unlocks. It doesn't misrepresent (although it can). But an education, a true education, will always untangle such misrepresentations, bringing them to the light and leaving them behind for the truth, the Inner Truth, which even the truest education can merely point to.
